Items must possess an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metallurgical_assay\">assayers<\/a> mark, indicating the purity of silver used.<\/p>\n<p>The date mark is used to indicate the year of manufacture and not as obvious as it might sound.
