Ducats were issued in Austria from the early 17th Century. This coin features the impressive Austrian coat of Arms on the reverse and Emperor Franz Joseph I on the obverse. One ducat coins dated 1915 are still being produced by the Austrian Mint as official re-strikes, weighing 3.44g, or approximately 0.11oz. Each Ducat contains 3.39g of fine gold content.
