The Netherlands, or "Low Country" in Dutch, has half of its surface area less than 1 metre above sea level with its highest point at 321 metres (1,053 ft). It has one of the oldest national anthems in the world, dating back to 1568, although this was not officially adopted until 1932. Its flag is the oldest 'tricolour' flag in Europe.
The Dutch were the first Europeans to introduced the beverage Tea commercially to Europe in 1610. Tea didn't reach the United Kingdom until the 1650's. Between 1818 and 2001 (except for the years of the Second World War), the Silver Guilder Coin was minted, which remained in circulation until 2002 when it was replaced by the Euro.
